Areas of focus:

Intimacy and trust are built through ongoing shared experiences of rupture and repair, not through avoiding difficult interactions. We will learn to how to reconnect with one another to build secure-functioning relationships so you can face anything together.

Face fragmentation with support, together or individually—why did this happen and what does it mean?

Explore values, priorities, and compatibility; uncover what’s  true about your relationship, and decide the direction forward. It’s always up to you, not a third-party; you can work toward building a better future together or separately. If you decide to explore better-togetherness, I’ll help you identify how you want to build better and help you develop insight, attunement, and skills that will help you do so. If you decide to separate for the greater good, I’ll guide you through a conscious and deliberate process to acknowledge the importance of your relationship and express what it means for it to end or transition to a different one, such as divorced co-parents.

Understand and accept differences, and the feelings you have about those differences,  as partners, parents, adult children, friends.

You make sense, even if you don’t yet understand your mind. Together, we will map your mind (and/or gain insight into the mind of your loved one) from the inside-out (autism, ADHD, gifted, 2e, HSP, OCD, TBI, dementia/cognitive impairment, RSD, PDA); identify neurodivergent traits ,and make meaning of lived experience. Together we can begin to understand and process the meaning of a diagnosis and/or identification of self, partner or children as neurodivergent.

With therapeutic support, you can begin to understand and process the gaps you’ve experienced in your relationship(s) with parents or caregivers and the ways you have adapted and been shaped by them; as well as learn healthier ways to establish and maintain boundaries, build self-esteem and self-trust, and connect with others in ways that feel safe and chosen.

Recovery from relational trauma (cPTSD): understanding and recovering from the effects of chronic invalidation, emotional abuse, and other unhealthy relationship patterns

It is not what happens to us that creates growth or resilience but what we do with that material. You do not have to do it alone. Asking for help and allowing yourself to be vulnerable requires tremendous courage.

Creating the family you want starts with intention and support. Process the meaning of your lived experience and/or envision the family you want to create.

Culturally curious and intentionally sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming

Identities: cis, neurodivergent, parent, adoptee, in many mixed neurotype relationships

I approach life with curiosity and a love for complexity and paradox. I believe self-discovery is an ongoing, lifelong process that is made possible through relating with others. As your therapist (or coach), I will relate to you as a real person (not a blank slate), while keeping the focus on you. We will collaborate to understand your lived experience and the meaning you make of it. In sessions, we will explore what feels safe and unsafe to you in relationship and work toward building self-trust and self-compassion, so you can discover, accept, and celebrate your most authentic self and relate intentionally with others. I use an attachment lens and am trained in psychodynamic therapy and emotionally focused therapy for couples (EFT). I am culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence-affirming.

Areas of focus:

There is a reason Pixar is so popular; every movie grapples with the challenges of transition and change. Let’s understand your journey as you author the next chapter.

We will work to understand what neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, PDA, 2E, HSP,  AuDHD, OCD, and more) means to you, including the lived experience and how this currently supports and challenges your ability lead a life aligned with your goals and values.  I work with an affirming lens to nurture authenticity, bridge differences, and heal the wounds of missed connections.

What does a secure-functioning relationship that’s unique to you look like? We deconstruct cultural and family narratives to find what works for you. I offer a place without judgement, where everyone is welcome, including the “unconventional.”  This can include exploring and processing betrayal in all ways it may enter your relationship. I am kink and ENM-affirming.

What happens when the most natural of human experiences becomes a medicalized odyssey?  It ripples through relationships and sense of self in deep and complex ways.I am here to care about your experience so you can make sense of it.

Individuals with high sensitivity, those passionate about creating, and/or engaged in mission-driven (often nonprofit) work face unique challenges in self care and actualization. I understand and respect what motivates you and why it can sometimes feel overwhelming. We can work to create balance together.

Balancing the needs of aging parents, especially those with neurocognitive disorders  or other chronic health needs, and the needs of children who are not yet launched is hard enough— where are you in this equation?  I’m a certified dementia practitioner and bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to support you.

It’s never too late to create safety in your body. Let’s work through cultural and family narratives.

Disability can be very isolating, especially when society rewards masking. We create a space to unmask and explore your most genuine self.

Are life’s current demands taking a toll on your mood and energy?  Let’s recalibrate and consider how you can live into your nervous system.

Identities: neurodivergent, hetero/cis, single parent of neurodivergent twins

I am passionate about supporting individuals to find and develop their authentic selves, congruent with their goals and values, and, in doing so, strengthen connections with important others in their lives. Late understanding of neuro-identity involves reprocessing your past and, often, contending with a big dose of internalized ableism. I understand that landscape, and I collaborate, using humor and creativity, to nurture you toward growth and connection. I am curious and work through a lens of cultural humility, guided by sensitivity to the implicit bias and institutionalized trauma often experienced by my clients, including trauma caused by previous therapy experiences. I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, and am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), Certified Dementia Practitioner, and level 1 Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT).

I’d also like to introduce Darkness, the cat. He’s an old friend, a great listener, and very serious about privacy.
